Contributions in the form of Hackathons
November 2018
I was nominated by the Prime Ministers’ Office as one of the young innovators of the country to represent India at the Singapore-India Hackathon 2018. The Hackathon was a collaborative initiative between the 2 countries to obtain digital solutions for critical problems faced by both the Governments. I led my team and we secured the 3rd Prize for creating a low-cost solution for the problem of ‘Monitoring and Availability of Parking Spaces in University Campuses’. We were felicitated by Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Singapore Education Minister Mr. Ong Ye Kung for our contribution to the society.
April 2018
I was a part of the team that won the ‘Smart India Hackathon, 2018’, the world’s largest Hackathon (winner among 14000 teams). Our team created a prototype for the problem statement ‘Har Khet ko Paani’ (Sufficient water supply for every farm in India), under the ‘Ministry of Water Resources’. We created an Android app for the farmers capable of collecting appropriate data, authenticate it with the Revenue Department’s data in order to create a database and a website for the irrigation officials to analyze and visualize information regarding farmlands facing scarcity of water. We further used ML algorithms to predict the favourable crops that could be grown in the existing water facilities, thus making the farmers more aware. We were felicitated by the Government of India for our novel prototype using Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Geotagging techniques. We also got a chance to interact and received appreciation from the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

April 2017
My team was the national level finalist at the Smart India Hackathon 2017. We successfully implemented an Android app along with hardware connectivity on the topic 'Mobile app to reduce power theft' as a part of a group project, using Computer Vision and Machine Learning. We received a Trophy and certificate from Ministry of Steel, Government of India for participating in the Digital India Initiative.
